Who we are

Albacore is a transaction advisory and financial restructuring boutique founded in 2014 by Greg McPartlin and Matej Reisman who together have over 50 years of combined advisory experience. The word boutique is defined as a small company that offers highly specialised services or products. For us this means that we do not strive to be everything to everyone but rather focus on our strengths: the committed active involvement of our senior staff on every project, our financial modelling expertise and our goal oriented mindset.

We typically work with companies that have an enterprise value between €5m to €300m and have specialised sector expertise in telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and IT.

Greg McPartlin

Director

Greg has been working in corporate finance for 30 years, the last 20 of which he has been based in Central Europe. Prior to establishing Albacore, Greg was a Director of the Financial Advisory Services department of Deloitte Central Europe and was responsible for building the financial advisory services practice in Slovenia.

He has advised on many complex and high-profile assignments across a range of sectors including privatisations, take-privates, financial restructurings, refinancings and MBOs. His technical skills, his understanding of the commercial dynamics of businesses and the depth of his experience allows him to structure solutions that meet the strategic needs of the client while ensuring a balance of risk and return most appropriate to the circumstances.

Greg is a law graduate, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and a Member of the Corporate Finance Faculty.

Matej Reisman direktor

Matej Reisman

Director

Matej is a senior corporate finance professional with significant experience in restructuring and M&A. In the past he worked on a large number of transactions involving production companies, retailers and telco providers.

In addition to M&A transactions he advises companies on measuring all aspects of profitability through the construction of complex activity based pricing models. The combination of financial and management consulting experience gives him the ability to gain a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and therefore to extract the maximum value from every transaction.

Matej is a graduate of the European Business School in London with a major in finance.

Tin Herenda

Manager

Tin has been with Albacore for the past six years and has been involved with various M&A and restructuring deals. One of Tin’s core skills includes detailed financial modeling of the underlying business which enables a much greater understanding and visibility of the optimal transaction structure.

Prior to working in corporate finance Tin held a position in the sales and financial reporting department for Henkel, which he joined after a internship position in Adriatic Slovenica.

Tin is a graduate of the Faculty of economics in Ljubljana, with two semesters abroad in Frankfurt and Lisbon, both at high-ranking finance orientated faculties.
